Felix Nodai, Vice Principal of Holy Cross International College (HCIC) in Yaoundé, called on the 2025 graduating class to let their values and hard work reflect the foundation they acquired at the institution.

Nodai made his remarks during the graduation ceremony for the 13th batch of Upper Sixth students and the second batch of the Cambridge Section on Saturday, May 17. The event was chaired by Emmanuel Buban Ngu, the Proprietor of HCIC, who was accompanied by school authorities and friends.

“As you step beyond the gates of Holy Cross, remember: you are not just graduates; you are ambassadors. Let your character, your values, and your hard work speak of the foundation laid here,” Nodai said. He added, “The world needs your integrity, your compassion, and your brilliance.”

In addition to congratulating the students, Nodai highlighted their embodiment of the HCIC spirit, which is rooted in love, discipline, international mindedness, strong Christian values, and academic excellence. “You have lived out our vision, and today we are proud to send you into the world as worthy ambassadors of this noble institution.”

Addressing students in examination classes, especially those in Form 5 and Upper Sixth, he said, “We commend your hard work and reassure you with 99 percent syllabus coverage in all subjects. No one has a reason to fear. You are ready for the exams.”

“Be confident, stay focused, and let fear give way to faith. Above all, we urge you to remain true to our core values. Shun all forms of academic dishonesty and examination malpractices. You have been built for greatness; make your family and your school proud,” Nodai emphasized.

He also expressed gratitude to the teachers for their tireless efforts and commitment to the students’ success. Nodai thanked Dr. Julia Buban Ngu, Head of School, for her steadfast commitment to excellence. “You have spared no effort in providing the resources and support that make our mission possible.”
