Kiss Borel Mbaoh, a student from the second batch of the Cambridge International Section at Holy Cross International College (HCIC) in Yaoundé, has encouraged his fellow graduates not to be afraid to outgrow the version of themselves that once felt safe.

He made the statement during the graduation ceremony for the 13th batch of Upper Sixth students on Saturday, May 17.
“As we step into the next chapter of our lives, I leave you with this: Don’t be afraid to outgrow the version of yourself that once felt safe,” Borel Mbaoh said. “Growth is uncomfortable, but it’s also powerful. And it’s always worth it.”
He expressed gratitude to teachers Madame Manuella and Mr. Roland for their guidance and unwavering faith, noting that their mentorship has shaped his thinking far beyond the classroom.

To Dr. Julia Buban Ngu, whom he referred to as the College Mother, he remarked, “Your high standards and sharp insights pushed me to evolve not just as a student, but as a person.”
Borel Mbaoh also thanked parents for their support, patience, and unconditional love. He acknowledged his fellow students, saying, “We may not have shared every class or conversation, but we have shared experiences.”
