It was a poignant moment at Holy Cross International College (HCIC) on Sunday, September 8, as parents and students gathered for the start of the new academic year. However, it was difficult to say goodbye. While the returning students were eager to reunite with friends and teachers, the farewells were particularly emotional for the new students and their families.

Having completed all necessary enrollment procedures and prepared their children for the transition, parents and children found it difficult to say goodbye. Tears flowed freely as they embraced their children, offering words of encouragement and reassurance.

β€œIt’s a bittersweet moment. I’m excited for my child to embark on this new chapter, but at the same time, I’ll miss her dearly. I know they’re in good hands at HCIC, and I’m confident they’ll thrive in this supportive environment,” a parent shared.

Another parent, emotionally overwhelmed, expressed, β€œI can’t believe I won’t be seeing my child for the next three months. But I’m sure she’ll be fine. I trust this school and know my child is in good hands.”

For the new students, the transition to a new school was a significant milestone. While some felt nervous and apprehensive, others were eager to explore the campus and meet new friends.

Their parents offered words of comfort and encouragement, reminding them of the opportunities and experiences that awaited them.

As the day drew to a close, parents and students exchanged final hugs and goodbyes. From a distance, some parents could be seen praying and offering last-minute advice to their children, expressing their hopes for their academic success and personal growth.

The farewells at HCIC were a touching reminder of the emotional bonds between parents and their children, and the importance of supporting them during life’s transitions.

As the students settled into their new classrooms, they carried with them the love and encouragement of their families, ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.
