BDLM FC emerged as the champions of the 2024 Holy Cross International College (HCIC) Proprietors Cup in the senior girls’ handball category. The team secured a decisive 2-0 victory over La Presidence FC in the final match on December 15th.

The intense final match, witnessed by a captivated audience of school administrators, students, and parents, was a closely contested affair. Both teams battled fiercely throughout the first half, resulting in a goalless draw.
However, BDLM FC demonstrated exceptional skill and tactical acumen in the second half, scoring two crucial goals to seal their victory.

The team captain of BDLM FC, expressed her immense pride and joy in the team’s achievement indicating that this is the first time they are securing a title after seven years of participation.
“We worked tirelessly to prepare for this tournament, and it’s incredibly rewarding to see our hard work pay off,” she said.

This year’s Proprietors Cup, which commenced on December 8th, featured a total of eight teams competing in both handball and football categories. The tournament, established in 2014, holds a special significance.

This year the competition was dedicated to the memory of Peter Ngu Tayong, a beloved leadership coach at HCIC who recently passed away. The dedication to Ngu Tayong who served as a poignant reminder of his invaluable contributions to the school community.
According to the school, his legacy will continue to inspire future generations of HCIC students.
