Favelas FC has emerged as the champions of the 2024 edition of the Holy Cross International College (HCIC) Proprietors Cup in the junior handball category. The team celebrated a decisive 2-0 victory over Solteros FC in an intense final match held on December 15.

The event attracted a vibrant crowd, including school administrators, passionate students, and supportive parents, all eager to witness the thrilling culmination of the tournament.

In a poignant tribute, this year’s tournament was dedicated to the memory of Peter Ngu Tayong, a beloved leadership coach at HCIC who recently passed away. His impact on the school community and the lives he touched will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

According to the school administration, the dedication of the tournament to Coach Tayong served as a reminder of the values of leadership, teamwork, and perseverance that he instilled in his students.
