On Sunday, May 3, the school chapel at Holy Cross International College (HCIC) was transformed into a sanctuary of profound prayer and reflection. The atmosphere was thick with incense and expectation as the community gathered for a dual celebration involving the spiritual initiation of its students and a significant milestone in the life of their Chaplain.

This sacred event served as a powerful testament to the college’s dedication to Catholic tradition and the holistic development of its scholars. The liturgy was marked by a significant leap forward for several students who took transformative steps in their spiritual lives. In a series of moving rites, the college witnessed both the Sacrament of Baptism and the reception of First Holy Communion.
Students publicly professed their faith, being welcomed into the Christian fold through the cleansing waters of rebirth before joining their peers to participate in the Eucharist for the very first time. The presence of the HCIC education family, alongside proud parents and fellow students, underscored the communal nature of faith within the institution.

This twin ceremony held a second, equally touching layer of significance as it marked the fifth anniversary of Rev. Fr. Patrick Tabot’s ordination to the priesthood. Taking a moment to reflect on his five years of service, Fr. Patrick offered a heartfelt prayer of thanks to the Almighty.
He expressed deep gratitude for the divine grace that has sustained him since the moment he was chosen to serve God and His people, noting that his strength has come entirely from his surrender to the divine will.

During the celebration, Fr. Patrick shared a candid narration of his journey from his initial ordination to his current role as the HCIC College Chaplain. He took the opportunity to acknowledge the mentors, family members, and friends who have supported his vocation, while also highlighting the specific joys of guiding the youth toward a deeper relationship with Christ.
His message was one of total reliance on the Creator, as he called on everyone in attendance to look up to God and surrender their lives entirely to His providence. It was a renewed purpose that left HCIC community inspired by the witness of the students’ commitment and the priest’s enduring devotion to his calling.

Holy Cross International College – A Family to Belong
At HCIC, we believe in one guiding principle: HCIC or no school. More than an institution, Holy Cross International College is a family, one built and centered on love.
This commitment to love is clearly expressed in our continuous celebration of the Sacrament of Love, the Holy Mass. Through this sacred encounter, we remain rooted in Christ, the true source of all love.
This love flows from Christ through the Proprietor and the Head of School, whose vision and leadership are dedicated to nurturing and sharing this spirit of love within the entire Holy Cross family.
At HCIC, we do not simply educate minds, we form hearts, build character, and cultivate a true sense of belonging.
