Holy Cross International College (HCIC) Yaoundé has kicked off the second term of the 2024/2025 academic year. The term commenced on Monday, January 6, with students arriving on campus as early as Sunday, January 5.

Parents and guardians accompanied their children on this emotional weekend, leading to heartfelt farewells as families came to keep their children in school. The atmosphere was charged with mixed feelings as students embraced their parents, making the transition particularly poignant.

Upon arrival, students from national and international sections underwent thorough checks to ensure they did not bring any prohibited items from home. These screenings were conducted in the presence of their parents, reinforcing the school’s commitment to safety.

In an interview with the school media, students expressed their enthusiasm about returning after a two-week break, despite the difficulty of saying goodbye to their families. They stressed their dedication to their studies this term, recognizing its brevity and importance.

On their part, parents shared their joy in returning their children to school, reflecting on the valuable time spent together during the break. They expressed hopes for improved performance in the coming term compared to the first.

The school administration reiterated its commitment to supporting students throughout the term, featuring public holidays and various co-curricular activities. They assured parents that every measure is in place to facilitate a successful academic experience.
