Students at Holy Cross International College (HCIC) Yaounde were urged to embody the virtues of Christmas during the school’s Christmas Tree lighting ceremony on Monday, December 16th.

The ceremony, chaired by the institution’s Proprietor, Emmanuel Buban Ngu, was attended by the college mother, school administration, and the student body.

In his address, Buban Ngu stressed the importance of spreading love and unity, the core messages of Christmas, during the upcoming holiday break.

“Christmas comes with love,” Buban Ngu stated, urging students to share this spirit with their families and communities.

In a homily, College Chaplain Rev. Father Patrick Tabot highlighted the significance of Christmas as a sacred celebration commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ and the gift of salvation.

“It is a time to reflect on love, joy, family, and giving, and to embrace the spirit of charity and compassion,” Father Tabot said.

The Christmas Tree lighting ceremony concluded with the solemn proclamation of the First Term results.

A special tribute was paid to Peter Ngu Tanyong, the institution’s leadership coach, who passed away recently. Mr. Tanyong was remembered for his significant impact on students and the school.
